INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS:
Project conducted with multi-national team assisting riparian countries in Central Asia with environmentally sound oil and gas development, agriculture sector reform, water quality improvement, and more efficient water resources management and sharing. Project work results: Greatly expanded access to clean water; Increased volumes of water draining to the Aral Sea; Improved regulations for development of oil & gas resources in the Caspian Sea; Improved agricultural practices in upstream countries along the Syr Darya River; Reduced water consumption; Improved water quality.
Designed new project concepts for environmental work in the Caucasus and Central Asia, including development of an environmental risk assessment for oil and gas exploration in the Caspian Sea.
